So, I am pretty sure I care less and less every year of school. My class rank is horrible and I am kicking myself in the ass for it now. I have so much shit to do. Mrs. Zende's being a little bitch and still giving us work to do and books to read even though we already took the AP exam. I need to do well on my SAT June 4. I need to sign up/take/do well on 3 SAT suject tests, and I don't know which ones to take, I am thinking Spanish, Lit, and US History. I am not AWESOME at any of the ones they offer though. Nats is comming up and I don't give a shit. I just have my AFF done and I guess it's pretty badass. I wish Daniel and Daniel were comming with us, but maybe God just wants me and Lindsey to bond with Frank and Matthew. Or he wants us to suffer. I have to do so much shit. I hate this. On the brightside, I got certified in lifegaurd training. Saving lives at the Brookside pool near you. ;_) |

We went downtown to try to raise some money for nationals. It was pretty fun. The whole group rasied 2 dollars. But me, Matt, and Kathryn saved the day and turned in $44. I felt bad going around and asking people for money. But we got a few sponsers I think. Saiju(Sorry if I murdered the name.) walked by apparently and wouldn't say Hi. Some people were offended. It made me laugh.All in a days work.

I respect Meg more than anyother person I have met. She's gone through a lot and I love the wat she sees life. She completely down to earth and she doesn't judge people. I love her.
David Tseng is HILARIOUS. We were blindfolded sitting at pretty place and he says, " Are they going to kill us?" Then when they were handing out the candles he said, "Are they going to burn us?"...lol. He's a sweet guy.
Nakul Penmetsa is scared of girls. Or just me. He's hilarious though. The boys had to answer a question that the girls asked and the question was, "Do boys ever get lonely?" And Nakul answered and said, "Yea, it depends on the mood we are in an stuff...."(something like that.) And then after that I said, "Hey Nakul!" And he looks at me and says, "Not that lonely."
Saturday morning Cierra, Quentin and I were sitting at our table eating and Nakul and David say to us, "We are going to take A shower. We pointed it out to them and we all laughed. They still haven't denied taking a shower together -_-
I was riding home in Quentin's car and I had make-up smeared everywhere and I thought to myself, "I am beautiful." I have never been this happy with me just being me and I have never been so grateful for the things I have.
Also, since we were sperated into boys and girls we talked about a lot of stuff we couldn't have last year. It really helped me to talk about brian too. Because we were asked about a situation that really brought us down and I thought about that, then we went around and told everyone that was blindfolded what someone could've said to us when we felt that bad to make us feel bettere and I said "He's with God." And then this morning Quentin gave is devotional and he started talking about Brian and I cried again because I just can't help it and Julie leaned over and said he's with God and it just made me really happy, so I think this weekend helped me with Brian a lot too.
And it also helped me with Taylor. Because I think like my mother and I am sorry to him for that. I let her past and mine dictate my futer and because of that I have a hard time trusting people. But my "mom" said that sometimes you just have to let go of the past. And then We got on the subject of love. And I have always thought that highschool relationships were pointless until I met Taylor, and then I got confused about it. I was just really pesamistic about the subject. But I learned that you still have to try it because you don't get second chances and that sometimes good things can happen. I learned also not to change the way I am or what I want to do with mylife based on him and that's going to be hard for me because I love him so much. But I know that when college comes, if I get accepted into a good college. I have to go. But it's okay because I want to stop being pesamistic and maybe actually try harder.
We met lots of cool people and I think this Horizons really let everyone open up about hard situations. It was fun and I can't wait til CONA. |

I've got news for President George W. Bush. Since its birth, the United States has always been a beacon light of freedom and has spread the good word about democracy and self-government through ideas and aid — but not at gunpoint. The United States was the model of freedom for the rest of the world until this president kicked off his new, macho doctrine of pre-emptive war, with the unprovoked attack on Iraq being the first test of that theory. His arrogant policy has cost us the admiration of a legion of liberty-loving friends and allies. It reversed our long-standing adherence to international law and our historical commitment to use force only when we are attacked and then only as a last resort. In his second inaugural address, Bush laid out his vision of a crusade to spread freedom and ultimately end tyranny in the world. His goals are worthy, but he did not say how he planned to achieve them. Iraq is a tragic example of the high price that must be paid in bloodshed and destruction when we use force to try to transform political systems of other nations. A New York Times-CBS News poll on Feb. 23rd shows that concern about the war in Iraq is rising: 78 percent of those polled said Bush had no clear plan for getting out of Iraq, a sharp jump from 52 percent last fall. The president would do a huge favor to America, Iraq and the world by learning that he can spread more freedom by peaceful means rather than by force of arms. |
